Dr. James R. Brown is an internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist who blends traditional and holistic approaches to care. After more than 30 years at Kaiser Permanente, he founded Northeast Ohio’s first African American holistic health practice, integrating acupuncture, yoga, and Ayurvedic medicine with Western care. Since 2012, he has brought his wisdom and whole-person approach to Care Alliance, serving part-time with a steady commitment to healing and patient-centered care.

Francisca Onunaku is a certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner who brings wisdom, humility, and heart to every patient interaction. She provides primary care with a focus on dignity, continuity, and understanding‚ ensuring adults and aging individuals receive the care they deserve.

Maureen Roheny brings decades of hands-on experience delivering care to those most often overlooked. Grounded in compassion and committed to dignity, she supports Care Alliance patients with steady presence, clinical excellence, and a deep belief in healthcare access for all.

Dr. Bridget Cole Williams is a board-certified family physician, certified empowerment coach, and the Medical Director at Care Alliance Health Center. With over two decades of experience, she brings bold leadership and a deeply human approach to care—prioritizing trust, access, and equity in every patient interaction.

A nationally recognized expert in medical cannabis, Dr. Williams is also a best-selling author and founder of Green Harvest Health. Her work bridges traditional medicine and innovative healing practices, all while advocating for trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.

She is certified as a Professional Empowerment Coach and remains steadfast in her mission to reduce mental health disparities and build healthier futures across Cleveland’s most underserved communities.

Dr. Luther Walls is a board-certified family medicine physician passionate about making healthcare equitable, respectful, and accessible. As Chief Medical Officer, he leads with clarity and conviction‚ ensuring that every patient receives thoughtful, high-quality care rooted in trust and compassion.

Betty Markin, MSN, FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience across medical-surgical, obstetric, pediatric, and NICU settings. At Care Alliance, she provides primary and gynecologic care with warmth, precision, and empathy. Her services include IUD and Nexplanon procedures, chronic condition management, and preventive health education. Betty’s passion lies in empowering patients through knowledge, trust, and individualized support.

Cemile Kahveci is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who believes in meeting patients where they are. Her approach is grounded in education, empathy, and whole-person care. At Care Alliance, she partners with individuals and families to support lifelong wellness, healing, and empowerment.

Melissa Gramajo is a nurse practitioner who leads with compassion and cultural humility. She’s committed to removing barriers and providing holistic, affirming care. Through education and strong patient relationships, she helps individuals take empowered steps toward lifelong health.
